Are you ready to explore the terroir—that characteristic flavor imparted on coffee beans by a region’s unique climate, soil, and topography—of some of the world’s great coffee-growing regions?

Our World Origins line of coffees are for those coffee lovers who are ready to take a step beyond our delicious coffee blends to try something truly unique.

This great Guatemalan coffee bean is grown in the rugged and remote highland areas of western Guatemala, above 5,000 feet. These beans are nourished by rich soil and warm winds from the vast Plains of Tehuantepec in Mexico, living up to the excellence of their Mayan heritage. The 150 families of the Rio Azul Cooperative in the Huehuetenango region work hard to ensure a consistently outstanding product highlighting the Caturra and Typica varieties this region is known for. This is certified fair-trade coffee, ensuring the 200-plus members of the cooperative reap the rewards of their hard work.

A medium-light roast, this coffee has a slight citrus aroma but with rich cocoa flavors and a faint dried-mango sweetness. Full-bodied but not overly robust or bitter, this coffee has a finish that is gentle and pleasing with a smooth, lingering aftertaste. This is a single-origin bean with a unique taste that is excellent in any brewing format. If you love Central American coffees as much as we do, this will quickly become one of your favorites.

Comes in a 12-ounce bag with a one-way bleeder valve for maximum freshness. Choose whole bean or pre-ground.
